Mathematics and Statistics for the New Zealand Curriculum Year 9 Second Edition has been extensively revised to better reflect the way the New Zealand Curriculum is taught in schools, and to provide a stronger focus on maths understanding, problem solving and numerical literacy for every student.
The new edition features carefully graded exercises that allow students to build higher-order thinking with teacher support. Other activities to promote understanding include contextual word problems, statistical enquiry and problem-solving cycles. In addition, topics and chapters have been restructured to provide an increased focus on Level 4 material, with accessible student-friendly language and design throughout.
The workbook supports independent study with key concepts presented alongside each exercise.
The optional integrated online maths program Cambridge HOTmaths provides a wide variety of additional material to cover prerequisite knowledge and extension, as well as a host of visually stimulating Level 4
resources to engage every student.
