Darryl Torckler:
 New Zealand specialist photographer
 Taking underwater photographs for more than 40 years in New Zealand and the South Pacific. Darryl always dreamed of writing a book.
 His natural history photographs have received won over 100 international awards.

Gillian Torckler:
 Gillian and Darryl have produced 13 books between them.
 Has a PhD in medical science and specialises in ultrasound imaging of the heart.
 Gillian and Darryl divide their time between Warkworth and Dunedin, New Zealand
