This new edition of the highly successful Extreme Natural Events has been revised to meet the requirements of the updated New Zealand Curriculum and the realigned Achievement Standard 1.1. Supporting inquiry-based learning this edition features recent extreme events including a comparison of the 2010 Haiti and Christchurch Earthquakes (and an update on the February 2011 Earthquake). It also refers to the 2011 Cyclone Yasi and the 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami.
